"making the best of any object, situation or material”
About us: JMF Restorations origins go back to the 1970’s, when our founding member was growing up within a large family, helping in family projects from car repairs to woodworking.
Learning his craft in is father’s woodworking shop, he then went on to begin an apprenticeship in violin making & restoration from 1986 to 1991.
Now, rooted in an ethos of “making the best of any object, situation or material”, we focus on restoring historical objects, particularly the violin family of instruments & bows, re-purposing & creating what you simply cannot get anywhere else.
